Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are pleased to invite you to our 2nd International Scientific Conference “Advances in biomedical research with use of in vitro methods”, which will be held on our online platform.

Nowadays, the Latin term in vitro is well-known, not only in IVF or in the field of cosmetics and medicine in cruelty-free testing. In the course of the last decades, there has been a significant rise in the availability of in vitro test methods for evaluation of chemical safety of products. The state-of-the-art methods give us the opportunity to simulate complex interactions among cells and observe their reactions to external factors in relatively controlled environments without use of experimental animals.

The vast array of in vitro methods are now commonly used by brands and manufacturers to tailor tests to their goods and properties and conduct tests safely and effectively, e.g. examine certain properties in case of toxicity. No wonder, in vitro methods are chosen more often, because they enable us with more versatile, more rapid, cheaper and more detailed analysis. Still they have to be conducted carefully and adhere to standards to avoid over-interpretation of results and ensure generated data reproducible.

In face of dynamic changes in the world, such as development of new technologies, evolution of animal protection legislation or desire in cost reduction, it is important to swift into in vitro methods in order to further scientific research. Obviously, that shift is essential to making medical advances.

Therefore, in the course of the conference, we will approach the topic in a multi-complex way and shall consider the issues related to in vitro methods. Our aim is to integrate the scientific community and create a forum for discussion for people representing various fields of science – doctors, biotechnologists, biologists, laboratory diagnosticians, employees of sanitary-epidemiological institutions, no less, we also invite students and enthusiasts.

The Foundation for the promotion of science and development TYGIEL will make every effort to ensure that this meeting contributes to the achievement of the assumed goals of the conference, and will provide you with a pleasant atmosphere among specialists from various research-based disciplines and satisfaction from participation.

Main topics

The subjects to be covered during the Conference include, but are not limited to:

• biochemical, cellular, molecular and tissue engineering
• study of physiological and pathological processes taking place in cells
• assessment of the effect of natural or synthetic substances on cells
• evaluation of the antitumor activity of substances of natural or synthetic origin against neoplastic cells
• assessment of cytotoxicity of implantable biomaterials
• cell cycle process and the functioning of the genetic apparatus of cells
• interactions of different types of cells
• using cells to produce biologically active substances

Oral presentations

Active participants of the Conference have the opportunity to present their work in the form of oral speeches. The topic of the speech must be related to the issues raised during the Conference. The speeches can be prepared both on the basis of the author’s own research, and a presentation of the issue from a theoretical standpoint.

The participant may attach a multimedia presentation to the speech.

The presentation must be prepared in English in PowerPoint and sent to the email address   in a document with the extension „*.pptx” (Microsoft Office 2007 or later) and „*.pdf” at least 2 days before the conference. That should ensure that the presentation can be streamed properly.

Presentations can have a maximum of 3 authors. It is possible to deviate from the limitation of the maximum number of authors, but after prior notification by email to  and obtaining explicit approval from the Organizing Committee.

Speech time: 15 min.

Speaking online is not easy and is often stressful even for professionals. Therefore, we have prepared some suggestions for you, the implementation of which will allow you to participate even more efficiently. (TECHNICAL GUIDE TO ONLINE SPEECHES)

Useful information concerning abstracts:

  • abstracts of oral presentations have to be submitted via the electronic form
  • titles of papers and their abstracts should be prepared in English,
  • the length of one abstract is 1000 to 1500 characters with spaces,
  • the abstract should be written in impersonal form and in perfective aspect,
  • the content of the abstract is the answer to the basic questions: What is the purpose of the paper? What is presented in it?
    1. describe the scope of the study,
    2. list the main methods used in the study,
    3. explain what follows from the analysis, discussion and results obtained,
    4. state the main conclusions and possible research assumptions for further work or practical applications.

General information

As part of your participation in the conference, we offer you the opportunity to publish your scientific work in the form of a chapter in a scientific monograph (after publication, the work will be available as open access). A scientific monograph is a peer-reviewed scientific study, presenting the issues raised in an original and creative way (it includes both research and review works). In order to be included in the monograph, publications must additionally have a scientific character and receive a positive review. Published monographs meet the criteria considered in the evaluation assessment of scientific achievements, and are a rewarding way to present your knowledge.

Publisher of the publication:

The monograph will be published by TYGIEL Scientific Publishing House, which is included in the list of publishing houses that publish peer-reviewed scientific monographs, according to the declaration of the Minister of Education and Science.

Chapter submission:

  • in the participation registration form, mark the declaration of publication of the work in the form of a chapter to a monograph;
  • send by email to the authors’ declaration with signatures of all co-authors of the work. (printout of the Statement of Authors to download >>here<<);
  • send by email to the chapter according to the established formatting pattern: endnotes; (NOTE, please use the current version downloadable >>here<<);
  • consider possible editorial and technical guidelines indicated by the Organizer.

Chapters for a scientific monograph may have a maximum of 3 authors. It is possible to deviate from the limit on the maximum number of authors, however, after prior notification of this fact by e-mail to the address and obtaining approval of the Organizing Committee.

Authors are obliged to submit their work according to the date specified on the event page under Deadlines. If there are delays in the preparation of the chapter, resulting in failure to submit the chapter by the deadline, please contact us in advance by email to make individual arrangements. Failure to meet the deadline may result in a delay in publication.

A chapter in a scientific monograph is a scientific work with a minimum of 20,000 characters with spaces. Before being published, each chapter is subjected to a review process.

Fulfillment of the above conditions allows the work to be submitted for review, which is carried out anonymously by a person with appropriate knowledge and competence (double-blind review model). Contact with the Corresponding Author regarding the review of the work takes place via e-mail.

After receiving a recommendation from the reviewer, the work is sent for publication.

Fee for Publication of a chapter in a monograph – 500 PLN/ 110 EUR/ 125 USD

Considering the remote form of the conference, all sessions will be streamed live. The link to the online platform will be emailed no later than the day of the event.
We are using platform that ensures interactions between participants.

The ClickMeeting platform will allow you to participate in the Conference via mobile devices such as a laptop, smartphone, tablet, desktop computer (active participants are recommended to use a desktop, laptop or the ClickMeeting mobile app when giving presentations).

The ClickMeeting platform:

  • allows two speakers to speak at the same time,
  • allows engagement in a post-speech discussion in the form of a chat room,
  • provides the opportunity to speak to selected participants,
  • allows the speaker to display the presentation and make notes at the same time,
  • ensures presence and continuous support of the Conference Organizers.

In order to use the ClickMeeting platform without any hindrance, all you need is access to the Internet and a current web browser (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Edge). It is recommended that each and every participant use a computer with a 4-core processor, 8GB of RAM, updated Windows 8.1, Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system. The streaming platform also works on Apple operating systems and Linux distributions.

A microphone is required for active participation in the Conference, and the highest possible resolution webcam is also recommended.
